Is Skirk Worth Your Pulls?

Skirk is a premium Cryo DPS and one of the strongest carries in the niche. If your roster is missing a dedicated Cryo damage dealer, this rerun is a solid pickup. That said, if your main goal is to save for the Hexenzirkel and Harbinger banners coming in 6.6 and beyond, many players recommend holding off here to preserve Primogems.

What About Escoffier?

Escoffier is better understood as a Cryo-focused enabler than as a generic sustain pickup. She significantly unlocks Skirk’s ceiling and strengthens Freeze or Cryo-leaning teams overall. If you are not planning to play those archetypes, the value drops sharply — but for Skirk-centered accounts, Escoffier is often a much higher-value pull than a normal comfort unit.

Version 6.5 “Luna VI” is now officially confirmed and launches on April 8, 2026. This patch brings one new 5-star character, strong reruns, two brand-new map areas, and fresh endgame updates.

New Maps Confirmed in 6.5

The March 27 livestream officially revealed two new areas:

Dornman Port — a coastal harbor region north of Mondstadt with new exploration mechanics, world quests, and story expansion.
Asmoday Space (Temple of Space) — a mysterious, independent otherworldly map with deep lore ties and high-value endgame content.

Linnea: Should You Pull?

Linnea is the only new 5-star character in Version 6.5 — a Geo bow Lunar Crystallize support. She’s an excellent off-field buffer for Geo and reaction teams. Unless you actively play those compositions, most players are treating this as a good patch to save resources for later in the year.

Why Many Players Are Still Considering Skipping 6.5

Version 6.5 sits right before several high-impact releases. If you’re aiming for the rumored characters in 6.6–7.0, holding your Primogems here gives you the strongest position heading into summer.

Version 6.6 — The Hexenzirkel Momentum Begins (est. May 2026)

Version 6.6 is where the roadmap starts to heat up. Nicole still looks like the headline name — a 5-star Pyro Sword unit with a fast, tempo-oriented playstyle. Lohen is widely discussed as a likely Standard addition in the same release window. Both characters connect directly to the Hexenzirkel-heavy direction the story appears to be taking.

Version 6.7 — Sandrone and Columbina (est. July 2026)

Version 6.7 raises the stakes with Sandrone’s expected debut alongside a Columbina rerun. Codenamed “The Marionette,” Sandrone is anticipated to be Electro or Cryo and designed as a specialist focused on Superconduct reactions. This stretch from 6.6 to 6.7 is one of the most important saving windows of the year.

Version 6.8 / 7.0 — Alice (possible late-cycle target)

Alice remains one of the most anticipated names. She is widely rumored to be a 5-star Pyro Catalyst with a high-ceiling kit that bends normal rotation rules. Story-wise, Alice is basically a cheat code for lore escalation.

How Pity and Saving Works in Genshin Impact

Soft Pity Starts Around 74

Technically, 5-stars are guaranteed within 90 wishes. But once you hit around 74 wishes, your odds start climbing fast — that’s the soft pity zone. Planning for about 80 wishes per 5-star is a reasonable estimate.

The 50/50 and How to Beat It

When you pull a 5-star on the Character Event banner, there’s a 50% chance it’s the featured character. If you lose that coin flip, your next 5-star is guaranteed to be the banner unit. That guarantee carries over between banners. Having 180 wishes saved (about 28,800 Primogems) means you walk away with the character no matter what.

Estimated Free-to-Play Income Per Patch

Daily commissions and events: about 40 pulls
Exploration, Abyss, and Imaginarium Theater: about 20–30 pulls
Total average: around 60–75 pulls per patch

Set an emergency floor of about 90 Intertwined Fates (roughly 14,400 Primogems) kept available whenever possible.
Prioritize Alice, Nicole, and Sandrone if you are planning for long-term account value.
Treat Varka as optional unless your roster specifically benefits from Anemo on-field DPS.
Consider skipping most or all of Version 6.5 if your main goal is the 6.6 to 7.0 roadmap.
Pair disciplined saving with full event completion and regular exploration.
